Gaining access to the terminals on the backside is very cramped if your wiring the wire to the posts directly. But I managed to get them all wired without to much trouble. I used RCA bananna plugs on the front side and wired the wires to posts on the backside to save money and still maintain a nice looking install. looked good installed for about a week – the weight of the bananna plugs (in my application all the posts were used) relative to the wall anchors used is such that the entire plate popped out of the wall. Now I have a big hole to patch – and have to try something else. Such as life.

Having a face plate for your 7.1 system is really the icing on the cake. It makes the installation look clean and professional, and you never have to worry about which wire goes to what speaker.
Once you have all the wires in the right place the install can not be any easier, just push in the wires and done.
My only complaint is I wish they came with a few more screws for mounting it to the wall. I had some extra dry-wall screws laying around and I needed them to complete the install, and this is why I dinged the ‘ease of use score’

This is a great pruduct. It is well made and easy to use. And the cost from Amazon is about half of what a similiar item costs at Best Buy. The only issue I had was that some of the screws were a little hard to get too but with a small screw driver I was able to get them all. My speakers sound great with this. Overall I am very happy with this product.

The price is unbeatable comparing to other options, although 1) it seems a little loose for 3 different kinds of banana plugs I have (from receiver), so I opted to use bare wires 2) the end caps for bare wires will loose tension a little in a couple of minutes but not loose enough to let wires free. With some quality issues, I can live with them for the price.
The labels are big plus.
