I’ve been shopping around for a good sound quality sound system for a while. Of course, the Bose system is the best no doubt. For $2000, it better be. But I wasn’t ready to pay that much. I’ve heard and tested endless system, and the search came to an end after I heard this PolkAudio 360 SurroundBar. I was practically blown away from the sound quality. I think it’s the best quality after the bose system for less than half the price.
I have a PlayStation 3 and the game that i have been playing for months is a brand new experience now with this sound system.
It can get very very loud. I can barely keep the volume at 30. Anymore would drive my neighbors crazy. No movie or video game has yet tapped into the potential of this speaker system. Nothing can make it start scratching. What really amazed me, is that even though it doesn’t have a subwoofer, it does not need one. I was feeling the base sitting on the couch across the room. Amazing. But you do have an option of plugging one in anyway.
Also, I am using Optical Audio source cable to plug it in my TV. That’s the best connection possible for a sound system It makes a big difference than regular AV cables.
I highly recommend it.
However, when i bought it, the DVD console would not power up!!!!! I had to take it back to Best Buy and replace it with another one. So beware of that.

As of the end of 2009, this is a good OLD product. the sound is good, but it only support 1080i. So if you have a higher version TV, you need to find a way to do not use the vidio by pass function.
One possible problem is if you are not using the video by pass, it may give out un-continuous sound. I am guessing there is some static building up to effect the function. what you need to do is switch your TV input to this sound bar for a sec, and then switch back to whatever you are watching. then it will function normally.

The Polk 360 Surround bar produces a fantastic sound in my living room. It is a very complete sound system when you consider the included receiver/dvd player.

I thought it would take a lot of time to set up so I let it sit in my garage. I finally brought it in to set up. It took me an hour to set up only because I was, multi-tasking, with cooking dinner. It sounds great! It was affordable and easy to set up. My family loves it. I set it up on top of my entertainment center (the Speaker). The only trouble I had was with programming my remote to connect with AT&T UVerse. Other than that I am pleased. We watch DVD’s in surround sound.

Pros:
Built good, very sturdy.
Sound in my opinion is outstanding.
Very pleasing to the eyes. It really looks so much better than having 5 speakers going around your room.
Cons:
Did not come with a Sub.
No HDMI.
I got it on Amazon for $349.99 with a regulary price of $1200.00 for that price it should have Blu Ray.
My Biggest complaint is that if you switch components and hit the volume button to fast up or down right after switching the system locks up. I am going to talk to customer service at Polk about it in the event that I have a bad system.
All in all we are really happy and impressed with the sound. I have had surround sound since 2000 and can honestly say this is the first time I truly feel like I have it.
