If I have a blue monitor cable, can I hook my laptop up to my TV and still get sound?
i have a Dell Inspiron and a Samsung 1080i LCD Flat Panel. I have a PC monitor cable and both devices have the compatible inputs and outputs. If I hook up the two devices with that cable, will I get sound along with my picture? Or do I need another cable for sound?
The monitor cable is for picture only. You would indeed need a cable for the sound. Radio Shack, or any electronics type store should carry the cable you need.
