Hdmi Audio Video
Will an hdmi cable provide both audio and video?
I am trying to connect my xbox 360 to my computer monitor, my monitor has an hdmi port if i plug my xbox hdmi cable in will the audio work?
Yes it will. HDMI is the only cable that is able to carry HD audio & HD video. The best audio/video signal possible through a HDMI cable would be.......Video - 1920x1080 progressive pixels | Audio - 7.1 channels of DTS-HD Master Lossless Audio.
That is above what the Xbox 360 can even output (at least in the audio department), and you will get the best a/v via HDMI.
Hope my advice helped!
*Did you know? - HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface.

Netgear has two higher end models of Digital Media Player genre that offer higher resolution and more connectivity than the EVA2000 that was previously reviewed. The Netgear EVA8000 Digital Entertainer HD is not a newcomer to the market but still offers some great features including supporting streaming video with output up to 1080p, HDMI output, and Digital Optical Output. Both the EVA8000 and also the EVA9150 from Netgear offer built-in wireless features.
The EVA8000 is the only higher end model to come with the wireless features built in to the device. It also offers a wider range of connectivity options than the EVA2000. If you have two or more Digital Entertainer HD's in your house, you can pause a show in one room and then resume play in another room. You can also synchronize the players in both rooms for "Party Mode". Here are the specs:
